The creator of this site has a degree in Psychology, a Masters degree in Public Health and is a former yoga instructor. During a "lovers' quarrel", the creator of the site realized how frustrating it was when the other party kept hanging up the phone in the heat of an argument and refused to be reasonable and talk about the situation. This frustration and anger that had nowhere to go, resulted in a sleepless night, and the concept of PostaDump was born.

PostaDump is owned by the Lover Squirrel LLC, a word play on "Lovers' Quarrel" to commemorate the occasion and to pay tribute to failed relationships and the lessons that those relationships have taught us everywhere.

While also providing a cathartic means and a venue for people to be heard, PostaDump also gives posters a chance to garner support or read differing perspectives from other viewers/users via the comment section below each PostaDump.

With anxiety and depression at elevated and epidemic rates across the United States in virtually every socioeconomic category and within every age range, this site was developed for people who may need to vent and voice their frustrations and who may otherwise not be heard.

It is not emotionally or physically healthy to keep anger and frustration pent up without a healthy outlet or productive way to diffuse the negative energy. During a time when the general public is largely dissatisfied with virtually every aspect of life such as the economy, salary, poor job market, high divorce rates, cheating significant others, and dead end jobs, etc., this site exists so that people can have their say and get feedback from other users or viewers. Perhaps reading about the trials and tribulations of others will make people realize that their own problems are not so bad after all and they may be able to find humor and see the lighter side or irony of their own issues.
